Update to the Social Event in Hook on 17th May. The venue has been changed from the Gate of India to the Hook Tandoori because the pub opposite the Gate of India has closed and also the Hook Tandoori is very close the railway station, allowing people to drink and use public transport. (See Social Events page)

Website updated: A Gallery page has been added. This page displays some of the photographs taken on our walks and weekends away over the past few years.

Also the walk details have been updated for the East Garston walk on 6th April.

Website updated: The General Information page has been updated to include more information on preparation. Also a link to an external website has been added. The non-profit making site gives information and advice for hay-fever sufferers. (Please note that we are not responsible for the content of external websites.)

Short introductions have also been added to the Walks, Social Events and Holidays pages.

A combined programme of the current walks, holidays and social events (in Adobe Acrobat ".pdf" format) is now available to download. Right-click here and then select Save Target As... or Save Link As... to save the combined programme to your computer.

The new Berkshire Walkers website has finally been launched.

Please update the favourite/bookmark in your browser to link to our new address.
You can do by right-clicking www.berkshirewalkers.com and selecting Add to Favourites... if you are using Internet Explorer, or Bookmark This Link... if you are using Firefox, Opera or another browser.

As with any new system, you may well find the odd error or gremlin with the site. If you do, please let me know by emailing me at web@berkshirewalkers.com and I'll try and sort it out.

The new programmes for walks, social events and holidays are now ready. Ian will by mailing those out presently, and they are all available now on this website.

Coming up in February we have four walks, starting with a joint walk with the Surrey Group, and also we have two social events. Please note the deadlines for booking these social events.
